TSBT46: The Sweet Taste of Chocolate

Chocolatiers

I come from a long lineage of cake lovers and sweet-tooth folks. I have always enjoyed cake with a warm glass of milk or a cold one, depending on my mood and the weather. I also now quite enjoy hot chocolate when I am not burning my tongue with the first taste. I could have been in Eden, enjoying a nice chocolate fountain and singing for our creator, but here we are, hustling and bustling, trying to “secure the bag” because capitalism demands our suffering as a sacrifice. Sometimes I want the bag to secure me.

A few days ago, the terrible twos (Afi and I) tried the Italian Bear Chocolate cafe, and yes, it is something to write home about. The chocolate was healing the capitalist scars I bore. It was delicious, not in the disgusting way that makes you never want to have chocolate again, but the savory kind, the kind that makes everything better in the world, the one that makes you look forward to your future.

Tripple hot chocolate special

The selling point that I irrevocably fell for is the triple hot chocolate special. My sweet tooth was all giddy because with every sip, you could try different types of chocolate.

To pay homage to those who came before, my fellow cake lovers, I had to have their lava cake too. Triple chocolate as well, I am not a barbarian.

When life gives you cacao, make some chocolate and enjoy it.

I hope your week is as delicious as the most delicious things you like in life.

Before I make another reservation to enjoy more chocolate, abstraction as a concept is great for isolating the purpose of a unit into a smaller and maintainable unit. Abstractions done right is an article that explores when it's worth the trouble.

Sad news for communities and meetups that heavily rely on grants from the PSF for support: the PSF has paused its grants program, which may affect a couple of events near us. I would like to encourage you to get more involved in supporting the meetups and events near you, both financially and physically.

The word of the day is prevaricate. A prevaricator is someone who avoids telling the truth by being deliberately ambiguous or unclear in order to mislead or withhold information.

Examples in a sentence:

When asked about the missing chocolate slice , the child began to prevaricate, avoiding eye contact and giving a confusing story about the dog.

I am making my grand departure into the unknown.

Until the next fortnight, my treasured reader, go forth, and may the odds ever be in your favour! 👏 🤖 ✊ ☠️ 🏹 🪖
